Hannah's love for photography dates back to her childhood. Whether at camp, the cottage, or just around her hometown of Waterloo, her peers would often question why she'd photograph such 'strange things' --the 'strange things' being the smaller details of life that they hadn't noticed. Her answer: "because I want to remember them!". This remains the same today. Hannah's photography features the details that others overlook. She captures the image that is easy to miss whether it's a facial expression unique to your newborn child or one of the many details that come together to create your dream wedding day.

Hannah's career as a photographer began at Muskoka Woods Sports Resort on Lake Rosseau in Muskoka, Ontario. One of two photographers hired, Hannah spent her mornings teaching guests about photography and photoshop while her afternoons were spent photographing the resort. Guests aged 7-16 were photographed participating in activities ranging from radio broadcasting to power cheerleading, and fashion design to paintball and everything in between! Hannah also had the opportunity to photograph the beautiful Muskoka scenery, world-class athletes, cruises, concerts, dramatic presentations and the annual Muskoka Woods Foundation Dinner fundraiser. Some of her photograpy continues to be featured on the resort's website (other photographers also featured).

Upon completing her contract with Muskoka Woods Hannah spent her time in preparation for the launch of Red Umbrella.

Since its official launch in early 2007 Red Umbrella has seen many great successes including winning a number of photography competitions and photographing high profile events and people. Such individuals include Ken Dryden, Stanley Cup winner & NHL Hall-Of-Famer, and Justin Trudeau, son of the late former Prime Minister of Canada, Pierre Elliott Trudeau.
